The JBL STX812M is a 12" Two-Way Stage Monitor/Utility Speaker. It uses a JBL 2206H 305 mm(12 in) patented Vented Gap Cooled woofer and a 2432H 75 mm (3 in) voice-coil, neodymium compressiondriver for 800 watts (continuous) power capacity from a monitor with a profile that is only 12inches above the stage. Smooth, even coverage is dealt with by a 70 x 70 horn, meaning that even if the performer is standing right on the speaker or moving upstage, everything will sound even. A cessed, high-current switch mountedin the handle cup selects between Bi-amp or full-range passive operation. NL4 connectors are provided on both ends of the speaker to keep cable runs tidyon stage. constructed out of top quality birch/poplar laminate plywood and coated in JBLs ruggedDuraFlex finish, the enclosure is very tough and tour worthy. The 4-gauge steel grille is CNC-machined and wraps around the sides of theenclosure so there are no protruding lips on the front of the box to create acoustical interference. Additional driverprotection is achieved by the grills, that are internally lined with acoustically transparent foam.
