Fantastic Clean Tones
Two distinct channels are on offer with the Blackstar HT-5R MkII and both feature two footswitchable voices for some great versatility.
The clean channel lets you choose between American and British inspired voices.
With the British inspired voice, you get incredibly responsive to with a real chime and loose bottom end. Drive this voice hard and youll get some beautifully crisp mid-range overdrive.
Jump the Atlantic with a stomp of the included footswitch to select the American style voice and youll get clean, bright and refined tone with solid bass response.
Awesome Overdrive
As with the Clean channel, the Overdrive channel also gives you two footswitchable voices but these are high in gain and ready to rock.
The High Gain voice is inspired by the overdrive found on the critically acclaimed HT Venue MkII and gives you high-end aggression along with tight, resonant low-end.
The Classic voice gives you great British Blackstar overdrive that is rich and naturally. Play it with some fantastic crunch or clean it up, it all sounds good.
Great New Features
In addition to the footswitchable voices, the Blackstar HT-5R MkII combo amp has some other great new features.
As a 5-watt amp, its great for playing at home or in the studio but if you need to take it down lower theres a power reduction switch. Push this in to go down to 10% power and enjoy full tube tone but at a lower volume.
USB audio and XLR D.I. outputs give you some great recording flexibility while the newly voiced studio quality reverb adds that extra polish to your sound.
The amp has also seen a visual overhaul and now boasts a refined, boutique design with a degree angle, top-loader panel and stage-friendly chickenhead control knobs.
Other great features include Blackstars patented ISF tone control so you can really shape your sound which adds an extra dimension to the standard EQ section thats on board.
Theres also a line out/headphone socket with emulated output so you can get great cabinet tone without using the built-in 12 speaker.
In addition, theres an mp3/line in so you can play your favourite songs through the amp or play along with backing tracks and an effects loop so you can get your sound just how you want it.
